Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a driven Document Control Professional in Northeast Houston, TX to support our Program Management Team.

You will coordinate and administer configuration management activities for project documentation, ensuring data is organized, accessible, and secure throughout the lifecycle and between client and contractors.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of Document Control experience in an EPCM environment.
  • Experience with MS Office, SharePoint, Prolog Manager, AutoDesk Cloud (ACC), Engineering in the Digital Age (EIDA), BlueBeam, or similar EDMS systems.
  • Experience coordinating and executing project issues.
  • Document and manage the flow of information between client and other stakeholders.
  • Ensures project data, documents, and information systems are organized, accessible, and secure.
  • Ensure contract support personnel are trained on EDMS requirements.
  • Manage flow of documents between client, construction team, and contractors.
  • Ensure data and documentation is delivered per project procedures and planning documents.
  • Develop and execute work plans related to the project’s EDMS platform.
  • Establish and execute auditing program to meet schedule and integrity expectations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to meet data needs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure smooth transition of data to project and site.

As a key member of our Document Control and Turnover program support team, you’ll be coordinating and administering configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for specification and change documents directly related to the assigned project.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • At least 5 years of Document Control experience in an EPCM environment
  • Experience with MS Office, SharePoint, Prolog Manager, AutoDesk Cloud (ACC), Engineering in the Digital Age (EIDA), BlueBeam, or similar EDMS systems.
  • Experience working on various projects to include coordinating and executing project issues.
  • Document and manage the flow of information between client and other stakeholders.
  • Ensures that project data, documents, and information systems are properly organized, accessible, and secure through the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure contract support personnel are adequately trained on EDMS requirements
  • Manage flow of documents between client, construction team, and contractors.
  • Ensure project data and documentation is delivered in accordance with project procedures, work instructions, specifications and project planning documents.
  • Develop and execute work plans as it relates to project’s EDMS platform.
  • Establish and execute auditing program to ensure data and documentation collection activities are meeting schedule and integrity expectations.
  • Work closely with project managers and team to ensure data and documentation needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the smooth transition of data, documentation and drawings to the project and subsequently to the site.
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat (writer), Excel, BlueBeam, Visio, and other MS Office applications
  • Experience with engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.) experience is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of technical terminology.
  • Experience with EDMS systems; flow of documents, approval process, and engineering/construction packages

The base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $115,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
