Job summary

ARUP Laboratories, based in Salt Lake City, seeks a PharmaDx Document Control Specialist to manage controlled documents, revisions, and MasterControl workflows. You will ensure regulatory compliance across SOPs, batch records, and forms, supporting audits and inspections.

In this role you will train staff, verify document accuracy, and collaborate with the PharmaDx quality team to drive continuous improvement and ensure proper archival of records.

Responsibilities

• Maintains electronic and hard copies of approved PharmaDx procedures and forms via MasterControl.
• Provides training in MasterControl within the PharmaDx department.
• Keeps all controlled documents current and ensures timely reviews.
• Performs document control audits as required or assigned.
• Ensures documents are properly named, numbered, and formatted before upload.
• Manages MasterControl workflows and monitors task completion.
• Maintains regulatory standards in PharmaDx document control.
• Checks for inconsistencies and coordinates revisions with relevant staff.
• Scans and archives department physical records and off-site storage.
• Assists quality team in audits and inspections preparation.
• Prints and stores PharmaDx batch records for manufacturing use.
• Participates in department meetings and ongoing education.
• Trains and mentors other PharmaDx Document Control Specialists.
• Contributes to project/improvement teams and presents updates.
• Engages with SMEs to prepare compliant controlled documents.
• Tracks DCS requests and status; works independently to complete duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
