Job summary

ARUP Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Document Control Specialist to maintain and manage the update, review, release, and storage of controlled documents within their areas of responsibility.

The role involves ensuring current documentation, conducting audits, and coordinating changes using MasterControl. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a laboratory background, and potentially college coursework in technical writing or related sciences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or better.
• Laboratory technical background preferred.
• College coursework in technical writing, English, computer science, or Clinical Laboratory Science background.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and updates the official procedure manual and related documents.
• Provides training on MasterControl in assigned group as needed.
• Ensures controlled copies and forms are current and properly named/formatted.
• Performs document control audits as required or assigned.
• Routes documents and test packet reviews per corporate standards.
• Ensures validation documents are available in MasterControl and that templates and rules are audited.
• Participates in continuing education and staff meetings.
