Job summary

Lithium Americas is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join the Thacker Pass team in Winnemucca, NV during construction, with transition to the mine site during commissioning. You will manage electronic documents and records, ensure data integrity, and enforce control procedures across project, process, and operations docs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in document control, records management, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.); familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint preferred.
• Experience with Hexagon SDX or other document management systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of and promote Lithium Nevada’s safety-first culture; ensure compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations and internal safety programs.
• Establish and implement policies for document storage, sharing, transmission, and destruction.
• Evaluate document management systems and suggest improvements.
• Consult with end users to resolve issues accessing electronic content.
• Ensure security and revision controls for master documents and access rights.
• Coordinate transmittals and issuances of documents between groups and generate audit reports.
• Maintain onboarding/offboarding procedures for document control systems.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices in document management technologies.
