Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, Inc. in Camp Hill, PA, is hiring a full-time Outbound Dockworker to safely load/unload freight from trailers and verify documentation.

Prior forklift experience is preferred, and work includes day shift with 1:00 PM start, Monday through Friday. You will use electronic and manual systems to track shipments, communicate with drivers and terminal staff, and maintain safety. Qualifications

• Prior forklift or material handling equipment experience, preferred
• Prior warehousing, freight, and/or logistics experience preferred
• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow safety rules
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using forklift or electric pallet jack
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers
• Using document management systems to track shipments
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
• Maintaining a flexible schedule including day and night shifts, weekends and holidays
• Providing customer service oriented support

Job description

• Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Outbound Dockworker to join our team in Camp Hill, PA. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

• Earn $23.55 per hour. Rate will increase to $28.35 after 12 months of employment
• Start time & schedule: 1:00 PM; Monday-Friday

Dockworker Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment, preferred
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively

Dockworker Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work
• Operating with a customer service first mentality
