Job summary

Systems Application & Technologies Inc. (SA-TECH) seeks a Maintenance Trades Helper to support small engine repairs dockside at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA. Primary duties include using hand and power tools and assisting with marine engine maintenance.

The role requires knowledge of Mercury Marine engines, a high school diploma, US citizenship, and the ability to pass background checks and a physical. Outdoor/indoor work with travel may occur.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Mercury Marine gasoline inboard/outboard marine engines.
• Familiarity using hand and power tools.
• Must be comfortable at sea for extended time.
• U.S. Citizenship and you must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support small engine repair, dockside at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA.
• Use power and hand tools.
• Diagnose and repair marine gasoline inboard/outboard engines.
• Assist in diagnosing engine malfunctions and fix equipment to operating condition.
• Follow maintenance programs using manuals and schematics.
