The role involves using hand and power tools to diagnose and repair Mercury Marine gasoline engines and related marine equipment. The position requires a high school diploma, comfort at sea for extended periods, and the ability to travel for deployments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of Mercury Marine gasoline inboard/outboard marine engines.
• Familiarity using hand and power tools.
• Must be comfortable at sea for extended time.

Responsibilities

• Support small engine repair, dockside at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA.
• Use power and hand tools.
• Diagnose and assist in repairing marine gasoline inboard/outboard engines.
• Assist in diagnosing marine engine malfunctions and help restore operation.
• Follow maintenance programs using manuals and schematics.
• Assist in fabrication and recommend parts and supplies.
