Job summary

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking a qualified Machinery Maintenance Mechanic to support NAWCWD PTMO programs at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA.

The role involves maintaining and repairing marine engines, performing diagnostics on Mercury Marine systems, and working on coastal vessels in varied environments. You will follow established maintenance procedures, participate in safety routines, and travel to remote locations as required, including occasional deployments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum USCG 100 Ton Credential.
• Ability to diagnose marine engine malfunctions and repair.
• Ability to follow preventive maintenance programs with manuals and schematics.
• Must travel to remote locations for missions, INCONUS/OCONUS.
• Experience with Mercury Marine engines is highly desired.
• Work well in a team and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support small vessel operations and maintenance at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA.
• Operate military small craft and perform high-speed rough water procedures.
• Diagnose and repair Mercury Marine gasoline engines.
• Follow maintenance programs using manuals and schematics.
• Assist fabrication and procure parts as needed.
• Serve as a crew member on vessels and handle PPE and safety duties.
