Job summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida seeks a Docketing Technician (Office Automation) to support docketing, data extraction and reporting using computerized case-tracking systems in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Fort Pierce and West Palm Beach.

You will maintain records, assist in solving system problems, provide legal support to AUSAs and prepare written materials, while upholding confidentiality and accuracy in a fast-paced federal environment.

Qualifications

Maintaining automated docketing records and ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
Using databases and office‑automation software to analyze data and prepare reports or legal materials.
Reviewing case files to identify, research, and correct missing or inaccurate information.
Responding to case inquiries, explaining docketing procedures, and resolving system or processing problems.
Typing at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Responsibilities

Maintains and extracts data from automated docketing databases and systems.
Assists in troubleshooting systemic problems and recommending solutions.
Provides legal support services to AUSAs.
Produces a variety of written documents and materials utilizing a wide range of office automation applications.
Exercises confidentiality, tact, discretion and judgment in determining what information may be properly released.
