Job summary

The SYGMA Network in Harrisburg, PA is hiring a Warehouse Loader to support Transportation and Warehouse teams by preparing equipment for loading, unloading and dispatching according to company standards.

You will work with loaders and management to move trucks, ensure trailers are fully loaded and safe, and perform daily equipment checks while maintaining sanitation in the dock and yard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Move tractors and trailers per door assignments to complete loading timely.
• Ensure trailer/truck fully loaded and refrigerated unit operates correctly.
• Maintain food safety and sanitary conditions in warehouse and yard.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and inventory related to transportation.
• Handle returned merchandise and log items into/out of stock.
• Secure trailer doors, maintain load bars and hand trucks, and report repairs.
• Occasionally travel to truck service terminals for refueling/repairs.
• Picks up local backhauls or delivers to customers/vendors.
• Follow safe work methods and report unsafe conditions.
• Operate equipment safely and communicate issues to management.
