Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations role focused on moving trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading. You will collaborate with loaders and supervision to coordinate door assignments and ensure equipment readiness, including trailer wiring and refrigeration checks.

The role emphasizes attention to safety, proper securing of loads, and Yard organization; forklift and pallet jack tasks may be required on site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Pallet Jack and Forklift Certification from Sysco. Can obtain once hired into the role.
• 1 year of warehouse or transportation experience preferred.
• Truck backing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with loaders and supervision to move trucks and trailers according to door assignments.
• Checks to ensure each unit is sealed and the refrigeration unit is operating correctly.
• Moves trucks and trailers from dock to dock to complete loading, including dropping and hooking trailers.
• Ensures trailer or truck is loaded and secured before moving from the dock area.
• Works with transportation management to ensure proper equipment on the proper route.
• Keeps truck parking yard free of debris and trash.
