Day & Ross, a major North American transportation and logistics provider, is seeking an Operations Manager in Decatur, GA. You’ll manage dock operations, safety, and freight flow while guiding a team of supervisors and front line staff.

You’ll drive continuous improvement, coach staff, and use metrics to monitor performance, ensuring on-time delivery and cost control in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years leadership experience in a terminal setting or similar.
• Safety oriented.
• Post-secondary education in transportation or logistics desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a fast-paced, high-volume dock operation through supervisors, lead hands, and front-line employees.
• Coach and develop team members with a collaborative approach and clear communication.
• Make informed decisions based on safety, service, and productivity standards.
• Initiate and lead process and customer experience improvements within deadlines and cost controls.
• Use key metrics to manage terminal performance (load factor, on-time delivery, LMS, freight flow).
