Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. in Webster, MA is seeking a Dock Supervisor to oversee daily dock operations, ensure safety, and drive efficiency within the freight network.

The role manages shifts, supervises dock staff, and coordinates with the Operations team to align with business objectives. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of operations experience in transportation, supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of DOT regulations, AS400, and related systems.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• Some college or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years operations experience in transportation.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate daily safety of each employee.
• Oversee safe loading and unloading of freight during the shift.
• Lead dock employees and manage schedules and time off.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to meet daily/weekly objectives.
• Provide feedback on productivity metrics and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA and DOT regulations.
