Responsibilities

• Lead and support dock team members during a shift to ensure freight is properly loaded and unloaded for on-time, error-free deliveries.
• Display a positive attitude and provide courteous, friendly service to all internal team members and external clients by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Coach team members as needed, praising and reinforcing positive behaviors to encourage repeat performance and redirecting negative performance.
• Train and develop freight handlers; provide tools and resources needed to be successful.
• Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight; identify and rectify unsafe practices and document interactions.
• Print and label specific freight; input freight data into computer systems accurately.
• Match manifest numbers to parcel numbers.
• Operate forklift to sort and match freight.
• Safeguard cross-dock operations and contents by monitoring safety and security procedures.
• Manage conflict and issue resolution between team members and/or customers; document and notify supervisor.
