Job summary

Porter Logistics, a fast-growing 3PL based in Atlanta, is seeking a Shipping Lead to own outbound operations in a high-volume facility. You will lead daily shipping, coordinate with the Outbound Lead, and ensure orders leave correctly and on time.

This hands-on leadership role requires driving performance on the dock, staying calm under pressure, and mentoring a team. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Shipping Manager/Outbound Lead/Dock Supervisor in a high-volume warehouse or 3PL environment.
• Strong background in LTL shipping operations and carrier coordination.
• Certified on sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound shipment of all daily orders with accuracy and on-time execution.
• Partner with the Outbound Lead to resolve order issues before delays.
• Check in drivers, verify load assignments and departures.
• Assist loading and supervise the loading team during busy periods.
• Monitor outbound operation and adjust resources to maintain throughput.
• Identify process gaps and safety/compliance on the dock.
