Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to transport freight across dock areas and assist with loading/unloading from trailers. The role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying documentation, and securing freight inside trailers.

You will assist customers, complete reports, and perform hostling duties as needed while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The position involves physical tasks, exposure to warehouse conditions, and variable hours; HS diploma

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old.
• Previous dock/warehouse or freight handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical duties daily.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and manual equipment to move freight.
• Verify freight documents against descriptions and weight.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or ropes.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
