Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to transport freight across the dock area, loading and unloading to trailers. Starting pay is $20.16 per hour with shifts from 05:30–09:30 and 17:00–22:00.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying freight documentation, securing loads, and assisting customers with freight paperwork. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, must be 18+, and prior warehousing/freight handling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Warehousing, freight handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck as needed.
• Verify freight documentation against description and weight.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup or repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight paperwork.
