Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock/warehouse associate in Ohio to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. You will strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage and ensure secure transport, while accurately recording shipment condition on arrival at the service center.

Candidates should be capable of pre/post-shift equipment inspections and willing to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be 17+ years old
• Experience in transportation industry preferred
• Stable employment history preferred
• Prior forklift operation or certification preferred
• Able to push/pull loaded pallet jack or hand truck with 70 lb minimum
• Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, turning
• Able to work all shifts including overtime and weekends
• Able to lift ~70 lbs or more as required
• Must comply with policies and code of conduct
• Able to interact well with others
• Able to work independently or in a team
• Capable of working under tight time constraints with multiple priorities
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and operation manuals

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting
• Record freight condition accurately upon arrival at the service center
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability
• Execute other duties as assigned as needed by safety and operational requirements
