Job summary

Brunswick Corporation's Freedom Boat Club seeks a Dock Master to lead the dock team, maintain vessel readiness, and coach Dock Hands. You will oversee day-to-day dock activities, staffing coordination, inventory, and compliance to keep the club running smoothly.

You will ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness while supporting a high standard of member experiences and service recovery where needed. This is a hands-on leadership role at the marina.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a background/education check and drug screen.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Desire to perform minor boat maintenance (engine oil, drive oil, filters, bilge pump, etc.).
• Ability to regularly complete physical tasks up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets.
• Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a calm, positive attitude.
• Availability to regularly work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties required by Dock Hand and lead the team.
• Assist with labor planning and scheduling; coordinate shifts.
• Train and onboard new Dock Hands on policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure Fleetio usage for fleet management and update records.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff.
• Monitor operations; address issues to keep a safe, clean environment.
• Maintain vessel cleanliness, fueling, equipment functionality, and presentation.
• Support inventory management and replenishment needs.
• Escalate member concerns and partner with the Dock Experience Manager.
