Provide a high level of customer service to dock guests in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.

Essential Job Functions

1. Make charter fishing reservations.
2. Greet prospective customers and provide information regarding fishing charters, pricing, and vessel limitations.
3. Assist boaters in reserving slips suitable for their vessels, considering size, finger dock needs, and amperage.
4. Communicate with incoming vessels via 2-Way VHF radio in accordance with FCC rules and procedures.
5. Greet and assist marina guest vessels at slips with docking, tying, and fendering, considering tides and safety.
6. Ensure proper connection of utility lines (power, water, cable TV) to guest vessels.
7. Monitor and operate the Fuel Dock safely, adhering to policies on safety, sanitation, and accident prevention, keeping the area clear of non-fueling boats.
8. Respond promptly to fuel spills or accidents, reporting incidents to the Dock Master and Director of Operations.
9. Report any damage or hazards to marina docks, slips, or electrical boxes to the Dock Master.
10. Assist with inventory tracking for the Fuel Dock, including supplies like ice, oil, absorbent pads, and spill materials.
11. Handle cash drops, ensure all receipts and reports are submitted, and prepare daily fuel reports.
12. Follow sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
13. Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of docking vessels considering tides.
• Knowledge of local waters and fishing is a plus.
• Boating or dock hand experience is a plus.

Work Environment and Context

• Schedule varies; may include holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing, walking, pushing, lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling, or crouching.
• Must be able to swim.
