Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a DNS Engineer to design, build, and evolve enterprise DNS architectures across authoritative and recursive services.

You will modernize provisioning, configuration, validation, monitoring, and recovery using infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks, ensuring reliability and security at scale. Qualifications

Experience designing, implementing, or operating DNS services (authoritative/recursive).
Develop infrastructure automation using Python and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Experience administering Linux environments and diagnosing DNS, networking, and distributed systems.
Experience using AI-assisted tools to automate tasks and improve workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and evolve enterprise DNS architecture for authoritative/recursive DNS and service integrations.
Modernize the platform via provisioning, configuration management, validation, monitoring, and recovery using IaC and automation frameworks.
Troubleshoot complex DNS issues through Tier 3 support and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, network, cloud, and security.
Deliver resilient DNS solutions for new services and platform changes.
