Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a DNS Engineer to design, build, and evolve enterprise DNS architecture across authoritative and recursive DNS, forwarding, and delegation.

You will automate provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and recovery using Python and IaC tools, enabling scalable, secure, and performant DNS services. You will collaborate with software, network, cloud, and security teams to resolve complex DNS issues and deliver reliable DNS platforms that support Cisco’s hybrid cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 6+ years or 4+ years for Master’s in software development, systems engineering, or cloud/platform engineering.
• Experience designing, implementing, or operating DNS services (authoritative/recursive, delegation, forwarding, caching).
• Experience developing infrastructure automation using Python and infrastructure-as-code tools.
