Optimum is seeking a DNS Engineer – SRE to own the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the DNS infrastructure powering our ISP and core network services. This role emphasizes automation, observability, and self-healing systems, blending IP networking with modern security to support millions of users.

Qualifications

• Experience with DNS infrastructure and IP networking.
• Familiarity with DNS security (DNSSEC) and DoH/DoT protocols.

Responsibilities

• Architect global DNS architectures with high availability and Anycast routing.
• Engage with DNS vendors to drive reliable roadmaps and security goals.
• Oversee DNS platforms lifecycle, automated deployments, and capacity planning.
• Define standards for DNS records, security protocols (DNSSEC), and traffic steering.
• Set Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets for core name services.
