Job summary

Eurofins Genomics Americas in Louisville, KY, is seeking a DNA Synthesis Technician I/II to join our oligonucleotide manufacturing team. This role operates on a fixed shift, runs proprietary and commercial oligo synthesizers, and supports downstream processing like pre-treatment and deprotection.

Ideal candidates are organized, self-directed, and capable of working on a fast-paced production floor while collaborating with others.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent required; BS preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Comfort on a fast-paced production floor and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds and work with standard lab PPE.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, run, and maintain DNA/RNA oligo synthesizers (proprietary and commercial platforms).
• Perform downstream oligo processing, including pre-treatment and deprotection.
• Learn basic troubleshooting and minor fixes on oligo synthesizers.
• Use LIMS for daily work, order tracking, and documentation.
• Follow Work Instructions, Batch Records and Logs accurately.
• Maintain production records in compliance with quality systems.
• Keep work area, equipment clean and ready for next run.
• Comply with safety and regulatory requirements including PPE and hazardous materials handling.
• Complete required training (annual RCRA awareness).
• Take on additional duties as needed.
