The State of New Hampshire is seeking a part-time DMV Lobby Security Guard in Salem to monitor lobby activities, enforce laws and policy, and ensure safety for staff and customers across DMV locations. Role includes potential travel to satellite offices.
Responsibilities include patrolling facilities, handling emergencies, preparing incident reports, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed. A valid driver’s license and FBI background may be required per agency policy.

This position offers a Trainee Status starting at the following pay rate: $17.19 per hour
To provide security coverage at various Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) locations by monitoring lobby activities and facilitating the enforcement of Federal, State, and local laws and departmental policies and procedures, ensuring the control and safety of staff and customers.
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Customer service experience, interpersonal skills, problem solving, and ability to deescalate are preferred.
Must possess or successfully complete a Defense Driving Course as approved by the New Hampshire Safety Council within the first six (6) months of employment.
