Qualifications

• Three (3) years of clerical experience.
• One (1) year of the General Experience with face-to-face contact with the public.
• College training may be substituted for General Experience (15 semester hours = 1/2 year).
• Preferred: experience in production environments and handling financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Review and examine applications for operator licenses, vehicle registrations and titles.
• Verify data such as insurance, year, make, model, VIN and tax liabilities.
• Collect fees and balance cash; respond to public inquiries with accurate information.
• Prepare letters advising reasons for rejection or requests for more information.
• Operate computer systems and office equipment; schedule appointments.
