Established in 1987, Pacific Medical, Inc. is a distributor of durable medical equipment; specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, prosthetics, and orthotics. We provide services directly to patients, medical networks, physician clinics, and offices, with a focus on advancing patient care through excellent service and product technology.
We have an immediate opening to join our growing company. We are currently seeking an entry-level, part-time DME Sales and Service Associate in the Central New Jersey territory. This position will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of Pacific Medical’s Insurance Billing, Direct Bracing, and Top Shelf Orthopedics sales. It offers the opportunity to enrich the lives of patients, provide valuable service and cost savings to the medical community, and gain experience within the healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Service current physician and clinic accounts for our medical products and provide exceptional customer service to all physicians and staff.
- Perform patient care functions including measurements and application of orthopedic soft goods devices (e.g., knee orthoses, spinal bracing, ankle-foot-orthoses) and other devices as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of all products and services and communicate these effectively to customers, including understanding functionality, features, and benefits that differentiate our products.
- Communicate with clinical staff to receive proper documentation to create a billable episode of care.
- Manage and maintain inventories of consigned products within accounts; review inventory reports and collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Screen calls and emails regarding patient status and report potential problems to appropriate resources.
- Document all care provided to patients clearly and legibly.
- Collaborate with the healthcare community (physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other team members) to organize and prioritize functions necessary for patient care delivery.
- Attend regional and corporate meetings, trainings, and seminars as needed; adhere to company policies and core values.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred.
- Background or experience in healthcare, sports medicine, physical therapy, or athletic training preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of human anatomy.
- Competent in Microsoft-based platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Ability to travel (drive) throughout the territory during the day.
- Hard-working with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Compensation
Base pay of $20-$30/hr with a monthly expense reimbursement for eligible expenses. Monthly bonus/commission opportunity upon review.
