Job summary

Breg, Inc. in South Bend, Indiana is seeking a DME Coordinator to support orthopedic care teams. You will coordinate DME services, manage patient registrations in the EHR, and ensure compliant delivery of equipment.

The role requires healthcare experience, knowledge of DME products, and strong communication. You will train site staff, generate reports, and collaborate across Solutions, Sales, and Customer Care to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a healthcare-related field or completion of an approved healthcare certification.
• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare environment, preferably with orthotics, DME, or patient care.
• Certification/licensure such as ABC CFo, BOC, Athletic Training licensure preferred.
• Knowledge of EHR systems, preferably Athena.
• Experience with practice management software (PMS) and surgical scheduling software; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME to physicians and staff, providing guidance on DME products, workflows, and protocols.
• Oversees DME services within the EHR, ensuring patient registration and scheduling and compliant time-of-service practices.
• Dispenses prescribed DME according to orders and provides clinical feedback for appropriate selection and dispensing.
• Performs advanced fitting, application, and adjustment of DME products, including bracing.
• Assesses patient needs and performs measurements and fittings for orthopedic soft goods and bracing.
• Provides education to patients and consults with healthcare providers regarding product use and outcomes.
• Maintains DME inventory using Breg Vision, monitoring utilization and stock levels.
