Job summary

Join Breg as a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator in South Bend, Indiana. You will support physicians and staff, coordinate DME services in the EHR, and ensure accurate registrations and timely fittings.

You will handle advanced DME fittings, patient education, and coordination with care teams, while leveraging Breg Vision for inventory and reporting. A healthcare background and familiarity with orthotics are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in orthotics, athletic training, DME, or patient care preferred.
• EHR knowledge, preferably Athena, and data location understanding required.
• Experience with practice management software (PMS) preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic bracing and supplies.
• Experience using AI productivity tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME to physicians and staff, guiding products and workflow.
• Oversee DME services within the EHR, ensuring accurate registration and scheduling.
• Dispense prescribed DME per provider orders and patient needs.
• Perform advanced fitting and adjustment of DME products.
• Assess patient needs and perform measurements for soft goods and bracing.
• Provide patient education and feedback to clinicians.
• Deliver exceptional patient service and timely follow-up.
• Utilize Breg Vision to manage DME inventory and stock levels.
• Coordinate returns and RMAs with the Customer Care team.
• Prepare reports for management and drive process improvements.
