Job summary

Breg, Inc. in South Bend, IN is seeking a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator to manage end-to-end DME operations within our orthopedic solutions team.

You will act as SME to physicians and staff, oversee DME services in the EHR, assist with product selection, fittings, and patient education, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a healthcare-related field or certificate program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably with orthotics, athletic training, sports medicine, DME, or patient care.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME to physicians, clinical staff, and healthcare partners with advanced product guidance and workflow optimization.
• Oversees coordination of DME services within the EHR, ensuring accurate patient registration, scheduling, and TOA/payment practices.
• Dispenses prescribed DME per provider orders and supports decisions with clinical feedback.
• Performs fitting and adjustment of DME products and braces for complex cases.
• Assesses patient needs, performs measurements, and handles fittings for orthopedic soft goods and functional bracing.
