Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. seeks an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY customers and help achieve sales objectives.

You will assist in parts lookup, inventory control, and provide basic services like battery installation and wiper changes, using store systems to complete transactions. The role requires clear communication, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and management
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and inventory
• Ability to work diversified days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Work various shifts including evenings and weekends
