Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business, handle basic automotive parts knowledge, and help meet sales and service objectives.

The role covers store systems knowledge and sourcing parts from various channels, with potential for part-time or full-time hours. Responsibilities include assisting customers in-store and over the phone, performing DIY services such as battery installs and wiper replacements, and maintaining inventory and cleanliness

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
• Use basic math for transactions and inventory calculations

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Team up with coworkers to ensure smooth store operations
