Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to support advanced DIY functions with expert store systems knowledge and parts expertise. The role emphasizes high customer service standards, extensive parts lookup, and hands-on DIY service support, including installations and diagnostics.

Must be able to work full time with flexible hours. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of automotive parts experience, ASE certification preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive parts sales or fulfillment.
• Ability to read and interpret parts catalogs and safety instructions.
• Must be able to complete Parts Knowledge Assessment.
• Must have strong math skills for pricing and inventory.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work varied days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards
• Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties)
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
