Job summary

Thompson Concrete is seeking a Divisional Development Leader to build training systems, develop leaders, and strengthen performance across operations. Note that prior construction experience is not required for this role.

You will onboard, train, and develop crew members, design divisional curricula, and drive leadership development and succession planning. We will reward results with an annual performance bonus and ESOP opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Training, Safety, Operations, or HR in a leadership capacity.
• Experience managing and developing training programs.
• Cross-functional collaboration in complex teams.
• Experience with SOPs and KPI setting.
• Experience conducting performance evaluations for multiple roles.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving leadership.
• OSHA 30-hour certification (will train if needed).
• CPR & First Aid certification (will train if needed).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations and HR to onboard, train, and develop team members.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Crew Leaders and future leaders.
• Design and implement divisional training programs and curricula.
• Build leadership development and succession planning within the division.
• Identify workforce gaps and implement growth plans.
• Partner with Recruiters to improve hiring, retention, and readiness.
• Develop systems to improve accountability and execution.
• Track quality, safety, retention, training, and performance metrics.
• Analyze performance data and drive productivity improvements.
• Identify root causes and implement improvement initiatives.
• Conduct field visits to understand operations and build relationships.
• Gather feedback to drive continuous improvement.
