Job summary

The Malco Group is seeking a hands-on Divisional Controller to lead the Americas accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and tight internal controls. You will oversee the full accounting team, including two local Business Controllers, across multiple entities, and partner with FP&A for budgeting and forecasting.

In this role you will drive standard policies, lead post‑acquisition integration, and optimize ERP systems to shorten the close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years leading accounting teams.
• Experience managing multi-entity close, consolidation, and external audit.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls; public accounting experience a plus.
• Experience with post-acquisition integration, ERP implementations, or system consolidations preferred.
• Experience in distribution-driven (2-step) business models preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and develop managers and partner effectively with cross-functional leaders.
• Familiarity with Traction EOS principles and ability to implement them effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead Americas accounting organization, including local Business Controllers and teams.
• Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close for all Americas entities and consolidations.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls across entities.
• Coordinate external audit and tax compliance with internal teams and advisors.
• Drive cost accounting, inventory, and standard costing alignment with operations.
• Lead integration of acquired brands into unified systems and reporting.
