Job description

The Division Security Manager (DSM) is responsible for managing and improving the division’s information security program in coordination with Tyler’s corporate security policies and programs.

This role primarily focuses on application development, deployment, operation, and compliance, and also involves coordinating responses to security incidents involving applications and deployment environments within the division.

The DSM collaborates closely with Tyler Corporate teams, especially Security, Legal, and Communications, as well as division product development and Cloud Ops teams. Since they lack direct authority over these teams, they must influence and partner effectively to drive security initiatives.

The DSM meets regularly with Tyler’s Chief Information Security Officer and the division President to review goals, action plans, status, and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve standard security processes
• Measure program adoption by application product teams
• Assess security exposure of applications
• Implement security tools
• Respond to security incidents
• Engage with Corporate teams to understand and enhance Tyler’s security policies and programs
• Collaborate with division product teams and Cloud Ops to understand technical and business environments and negotiate expectations
• Work with peers in other divisions to share best practices
• Manage division security projects, tracking goals, action plans, status, and concerns
• Deliver presentations to division leadership
• Stay informed on security industry trends

Qualifications

• Certified Project and/or Program Management professional or equivalent experience
• Understanding of security concepts, frameworks, tools, techniques, and procedures
• High-level technical knowledge of application development, deployment architectures, and platforms
• High-level understanding of public cloud, especially AWS
• 5+ years in information security, with 3+ years in managerial roles
• Ability to pass a federal background check per CJIS requirements

Salary Disclosure

Salary range typically between $93,547 - $110,000, subject to geographic adjustments. Recruiter can confirm incentive eligibility.
