Job description

Position Description

Serco is seeking a Senior Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to support our strategic and space-related defense programs. This full-time remote position involves providing cost and schedule control analysis for highly technical projects, ensuring budget integrity, schedule alignment, and timely financial reporting. In this role, you will support program management and internal/external stakeholders through financial planning, analysis, and risk identification to drive program success.

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and maintain cost control systems and monitor program costs and schedules.
  • Prepare budgets and perform financial analyses, including funding profiles, sales outlooks, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare, review, and present financial reports to management with actionable insights.
  • Support integration of project cost data with scheduling information.
  • Recommend improvements to business processes to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
  • Analyze program profitability and identify actions to mitigate risks and improve margins.
  • Track key performance metrics and provide strategic insights for decision-making.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant finance experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 6+ years of experience.
  • Proficient with spreadsheet and database applications (e.g., MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and performing variance analysis.
  • A detail-oriented mindset and ability to think strategically in support of program goals.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
