Job summary

Responsibilities include reviewing orders from operators, calculating interests, interpreting title documents, and supporting land and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with interest calculations and division order analysis from a royalty owner perspective.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas industry practices, including mineral and royalty interests and land title.

Responsibilities

• Review and process incoming division orders from operators and purchasers.
• Calculate and verify complex divisions of interest from source records.
• Analyze title opinions, mineral ownership reports, conveyances, leases and other oil and gas agreements to verify interests.
• Assist the land team in interpretation of leases to determine if held by production or terminated.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to division orders, ownership disputes, and payment discrepancies.
• Build rapport with remitters of revenue and reconcile interest discrepancies to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain and update ownership records in land management systems.
• Assist in resolving accounting issues as needed.
• Create and maintain mineral, lease, tract, division order, and well records.
• Work with land and accounting teams to meet company goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
