Job summary

UMMC in Jackson, MS seeks a Division Business Administrator to plan, coordinate, and oversee the major activities of a division within a clinical academic department. Responsibilities include budgeting for capital equipment and operations, education programs, grants and contracts, and personnel management.

The role works with the division chief to develop short- and long-term objectives, manage daily operations, and ensure efficient coordination across departments, schools and divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in business/financial management or health care administration.
• Master's degree preferred to enhance leadership, budgeting and program oversight.
• Experience coordinating education programs, grants or contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages daily business and administrative operations in an assigned area.
• Implements policies and procedures to meet divisional priorities and long-range goals.
• Supervises employees including training, scheduling, evaluation and issue resolution.
• Prepares operation and statistical reports and maintains records/files.
