Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Division Business Administrator for Hematology/Oncology to coordinate division operations, education programs, and research contracts. You will assist the division chief in capital equipment planning, budgeting, and strategic objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years in business/financial management or healthcare administration; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in business/financial management or health care administration.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced responsibilities and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages the daily business and administrative operations in an assigned area.
• Implements organizational policies and procedures to accomplish departmental and divisional priorities and long-range goals.
• Supervises employees including work allocation, training, scheduling, evaluation and problem resolution.
• Reviews and interprets administrative policies and procedures; recommends and implements changes to achieve objectives.
• Prepares operation and statistical reports and maintains records and files.
• Maintains proper equipment and inventory levels.
• Collaborates with other personnel to resolve customer service issues, improve cost containment, increase productivity, and meet demands.
• Works closely with department business administration and acts as a liaison between management and other divisions, schools and departments.
