  • Plans and manages the daily business and administrative operations in an assigned area.
  • Implements organizational policies and procedures to accomplish departmental and divisional priorities and long-range goals.
  • Supervises employees including work allocation, training, scheduling, evaluation and problem resolution.
  • Reviews and interprets administrative policies and procedures; recommends and implements changes to achieve objectives.
  • Prepares operation and statistical reports and maintains records and files.
  • Maintains proper equipment and inventory levels.
  • Collaborates with other personnel to resolve customer service issues, improve cost containment, increase productivity, and meet demands.
  • Works closely with department business administration and acts as a liaison between management and other divisions, schools and departments.

Job Summary

Plans, coordinates and is accountable for the major activities of a single or multiple division(s) within a clinical academic department including education programs, research grants and contracts, clinical operations, development, financial analysis, and personnel management. Works with the division chief to develop and administer the capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets and to establish division short and long term objectives.
