UMMC is seeking a Business Operations Manager for the Cancer Institute to collaborate with senior management in planning, directing, coordinating, and managing daily business and administrative operations at the Main Campus Jackson.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with at least three years in business operations or administrative support, including one year in a leadership capacity. Strong planning, communication, and supervisory skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) and three (3) years’ work experience in business operations or administrative support that includes one (1) year leadership work experience

Responsibilities

  • Plans and manages the daily business and administrative operations in an assigned area.
  • Implements organizational policies and procedures to accomplish departmental priorities and long-range goals.
  • Supervises employees including work allocation, training, scheduling, evaluation, and problem resolution.
  • Reviews and interprets administrative policies and procedures and recommends/implements changes as required to achieve objectives.
  • Works with partners/senior management on special projects and/or committees.
  • Prepares reports and maintains applicable records and files; maintains proper equipment and inventory levels.
