Job summary

The University of Virginia’s Department of Parking and Transportation seeks a Division Operations Manager to lead Transportation Support Services. You will supervise a team of supervisors, dispatchers, and drivers across paratransit, on-demand services, and mobility programs, driving safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, collaboration with UVA Transit, and managing technology and vendor oversight while ensuring coverage during all hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
• At least four years in logistics or transportation with people management.
• CDL Type A or B with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements preferred; license obtainable within six months.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily operations of transportation services including paratransit UVA FlexRide and UVA Ride.
• Create and maintain shift schedules for drivers and staff.
• Coordinate with UVA Transit Operations and Transportation General Manager.
• Ensure safe, reliable, customer-focused service delivery meeting standards.
• Oversee technology: APC, GPS, fleet maintenance, real-time tracking; assist with procurement and vendor oversight.
