Job summary

Top Gun Staffing, Inc. in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Civil/Technical Project Manager to lead a team of engineers and designers on diverse site development projects.

You will develop client relationships, manage all aspects of project execution, prepare budgets and proposals, and interface with municipalities when necessary. The role emphasizes coordination across design disciplines, regulatory liaison, and quality control of staff work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).
• Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.
• Experience managing staff and clients.

Develop and maintain client relationships

Manage all aspects of project efforts and interface with clients; this includes making presentations to clients & municipalities (when necessary).

Prepare budgets and proposals

Supervise and perform site development & design tasks: plan preparation, grading, permit applications (including FDOT and Water Management Districts), report writing, etc.

Contribute to stormwater management design: Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling, Erosion and Sediment Control (E&SC) planning, etc.

Engage with regulatory agencies.

Assist with RFQ responses.

Provide quality control of staff design & reports.

Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).

Professional Engineer in the State of Florida

Experience managing staff and clients

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, project management software, etc.); expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred!

Experience with stormwater management (SWM) design calculations, especially while utilizing H&H modeling tools; experience with ICPR is preferred.

Proficiency on standard office software applications: Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, etc.

Proven ability to look at the “Big Picture” as well the project goals in order to coordinate various design disciplines accordingly.

Proven ability to work in an energetic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player, especially while maintaining the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.
