Job summary

Cobb County Government is seeking a Division Manager in the Finance department to oversee the operation and staff of a large, complex division. The role focuses on managing general accounting, preparing work papers, schedules and fund variances, and assisting in ACFR preparation and other reports.

The incumbent will supervise staff, develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with GASB, GAAP, and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• Seven years of professional level experience in area of assignment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general accounting operations, prepare work papers, schedules, and fund variances.
• Assist in preparation and review of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and other reports.
• Post journal entries and cash receipts; prepare wires; review reconciliations and balance sheets.
