Job summary

Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies. The Division EHS Manager in Elyria, Ohio will lead environmental, health and safety programs to meet division objectives and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate training, manage audits, and serve as on-site liaison with Corporate EHS while partnering with Lean, HR, and Supply Chain functions. The role requires 5+ years in EHS, a technical BS, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• BS Degree in a technical field, preferably EHS.
• Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ergonomics and behavior-based safety experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Creative ability to ensure employee safety and environmental protection while meeting production needs.
• Ability to plan and implement EHS programs; strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with management and floor associates.
• Must be able to travel and work out of the office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS programs to meet division objectives and targets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance including OSHA and EPA actions.
• Lead energy management and waste minimization efforts.
• Coordinate all EHS training and maintain records.
• Support and manage corrective actions from Corporate EHS audits.
• Serve as on-site contact for Corporate EHS Department and manage actions.
• Chair ISO 14000/18000 committees (if applicable).
• Support customer EHS requirements (e.g., IMDS).
• Report EHS metrics and progress to division management.
• Integrate EHS with Lean, HR, and Supply Chain initiatives.
