Job summary

Pave America, a national construction company, is seeking a Division Controller to lead the finance function for the division and consolidate financials for the Regional CFO. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, WIP expertise, and hands-on accounting leadership.

The ideal candidate will manage accounts, provide senior management updates, strengthen internal controls, and drive budgeting with timely analyses. Excellent Excel, communication, and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior-level accounting role in the construction industry.
• Possess detailed financial analysis that can extract business insights to support decision making.
• Must be able to demonstrate advanced Excel skills. Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting data points.
• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscapes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines; create a culture of accountability.
• Help achieve budgeting goals with scheduling and analysis, recommending actions to leadership.
• Manage customer portfolios: contracts, invoices and collections; liaise with Sales & Operations to optimize DSO.
• Prepare weekly cashflow forecasting; reconcile bank and payroll; journal entries.
