Job summary

Encore Pavement seeks a Division Controller to lead the financial operations for its growing organization. You will manage GAAP reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and oversee internal controls to ensure financial integrity.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction accounting, a Bachelor’s degree, and advanced Excel skills. You will supervise staff and collaborate with the Regional CFO on consolidated financials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or related field.
• 5+ years in a senior accounting role in the construction industry.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting data points.
• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies to current economic landscapes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines; foster accountability.
• Support budgeting goals with scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage customer portfolios: contracts, invoices and collections; liaise with Sales & Operations to optimize DSO.
• Prepare weekly cashflow forecasting; reconcile accounts and payroll; prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee all disbursements; establish internal controls; lead system implementations.
• Supervise staff; coach and mentor the team.
