Job summary

The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) invites applications for the Division Chief role within the Air and Radiation Administration. The incumbent will oversee VEIP design, QA, data analysis, and auditing of testing personnel and facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance.

This leadership position also includes administrative responsibilities and direct supervision of skilled staff, shaping program execution and continuous improvement across state and private VEIP stations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture required.
• Four years of engineering/architectural experience in pollution control or related fields.
• Substitutions allowed: additional engineering credits or alternate credentials per notes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee VEIP design, QA, data analysis and auditing of testing/repair personnel and facilities.
• Provide administrative direction and supervision of division staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and auditing of testing equipment at state stations and facilities.
