Job summary

The Maryland Department of the Environment invites qualified candidates for the Administrator IV role within the Air Quality Planning Division. Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: six years in administrative staff or professional work.

Responsibilities

• NAAQS & SIP leadership: develop and implement SIPs for criteria pollutants.
• Policy & regulatory support: draft letters, support regulatory implementation, advise on policy.
• Conformity & multi-jurisdictional leadership: coordinate with MW AQC, IAQC, BMC task forces.
• Collaboration & mentorship: guide internal and external stakeholders on SIP/conformity.
• Strategic development: propose pathways for attainment reclassification and SIP processes.

Bachelor's degree substitutions allowed for required experience

Master's degree substitution for five years of experience
